5. Narcos(2015-2017)

This series is a much better view and more interesting as far as depicting the Colombian cartels during the 80's. This series has excellent direction, cinematography, writing, acting, setting and soundtrack. Along with that Holbrook's and Pascal's subtle and sarcastic narrative adds to the intensity of the series. Pascal, Holbrook and Moura deliver top notch realistic performances. The series depicts the efforts of two agents from different countries working together to take down the cartels and the obstacles they faced. It addresses the drug trade from all points of view including law enforcement, politicians, traffickers, media and the victims left in the wake. The most notable kingpin targeted is Pablo Escobar and unless you've been living under a rock, that name is well known. The plot of the show is nearly flawless and makes it clear as to what it took to take down Escobar. It's captivating throughout the series. The writers made it clear during the three seasons that if you cut off the head of the snake, another figure will be standing in line to take it's place. The ending leaves the viewer with this realization and also eludes to the fact that the story is just beginning. In reality, although these two brave agents made a huge impact on the drug trafficking business during the 80's, the writers are correct. The snake and the business still lives on.

4. Friends(1994-2004)

Well, to be honest, I never really thought that I would love any sitcoms more than HIMYM, Modern Family, TBBT, and many more before watching this. Just completed watching the last episode and, well, it's no surprise that it's one of the biggest sitcoms of all time. The series has a very unique chemistry that makes you watch the show even more. All the characters have such aura that you feel like they are not just a few characters in a T.V show but the people in real life who you know. The series is filled with love and humour. The series also reminds you of the importance of having friends in your life.
Okay, now let's talk a bit about the actual series. It basically revolves around six friends with their unbreakable friendship living their lives in New York City. Helping each other through thick and thin, in relationships and personal life issues by always being there for each other.(That's the name of the title song too- 'I'll be there for you')
To make an extraordinarily successful series such as this, along with the powerful script, the casting of the series is a very important aspect which no doubt is PERFECT!!! The fact that Jennifer Aniston was the highest paid T.V actress in the world at that time she also had given birth to something called as 'Rachel Cut' hairstyle which became a trend overnight among girls. Not only her but all the actors including Courtney Cox, Latt Leblanc, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer made the show come to life.

3. Game Of Thrones(2011-2019)

Benioff and Weiss have created a virtuous medieval series. This series has outstanding  direction, writing, special effects, costume, cinematography, settings, score  and acting. The score plays just as an important role as the characters as it often sets the tone and mood for the scene as well as a foreshadowing of events to come. The entire cast deliver superlative performances. In particular Harrington, Dinklage, Clarke, Turner and Coster-Waldau are mesmerizing. Based on Martin's series of novels, "A Song of Ice and Fire", the main plot revolves around two powerful families battling for control of the Seven Kingdoms and ultimately the Iron Throne. There are many subplots involved which add to the complexity and enthrallment  with this series. The duplicity among the different kingdoms and within the families vying for control also add to the mystery and intrigue throughout the series. There are so many memorable scenes and quotes in this series it's almost impossible for this viewer to choose one. The plot is gritty, violent, cunning, clever, authentic, inventive, blazing, insightful, cathartic and captivating. If a reader decides to give it a whirl it is, in this viewer's opinion, imperative to start from the very first episode and enjoy the story from there. Each and every episode is like a single piece in a masterful puzzle.  This series is a bravura work of art. It is unparalleled in it's genre both on television and film. It is memorable and will be for many years to follow. The final season just dropped and has this viewer more than elated.

2. Sherlock(2010-2017)

Are you a Bendict Fan? then this show is for you. As the name suggests it is a detective series starrer Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.  the Show is based on the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The story revolves around sherlock holmes and John Watson who solve crime all around Britain. Sherlock with  his expert sight and john's application is a duo hard to break.

This is emotional and it really digs deep into Sherlock. Not only does it bring out the best in him(Which is John. H. Watson.) It also brings out the worst (Which is Jim Moriarty.) The series is short yet detailed and each episode really explains what's happening. It shows us the battle of addiction and it also shows the audience that being smart doesn't always make you a winner. I really enjoyed this series and it's easily one of the best Sherlock shows I've ever seen.

1. Breaking Bad(2008-2013)

According to me, this particular plot and the way it ended, its screenplay, acting couldn't get any better. It is a must watch for every person out there who is/isn't interested in a dark realistic drama.

Every character is excellently developed with no good/bad virtues in them completely. You'd never have a liking just for one single character or the protagonist for the matter in the entire series. The screenplay takes care of addressing all the characters in well amount of depth.

Each and everything that happens in the episodes are addressed later thereby not leaving any cliffhangers or loose ends. Season 1 is a bit slow (relatively) but the story really takes pace after season 2. Season finale is epic and will also give you a reason to enjoy another series - Better call Saul - which is a spin off prequel of Breaking Bad.

The actors of Breaking Bad have done a commendable job I must say, especially Bryan Cranston who plays the protagonist Walter White. The human emotions and human tendencies - which is the most essential part of the entire series - have been captured excellently which wouldn't have been possible without a decent acting.

Again, kudos to Vince Gilligan for providing us with such an epic series.
